10-year-old girl discovers security flaw in Apple, Android games

A 10 year old hacker left experts amazed with her discovery on the flaw in mobile phones. Read on to know how she cracked the nut.

"A 10-year-old hacker has left experts amazed by finding an old-age security flaw in many mobile games.

Going by the handle CyFi, she found that advancing the clock on a tablet or phone could, in many games, open a loophole that can be exploited, reports the BBC.

CyFi discovered the bug after getting bored with the pace of farming games and seeking ways to speed them up.

Many farm-based games force players to wait hours before they can harvest a crop grown from virtual seeds. As a result CyFi, who has not revealed her real name, started fiddling with the clock on her handset to see if she could produce crops more quickly.

While many games detect and block clock-based cheating, CyFi found ways round these security measures. Disconnecting a phone from wi-fi and only advancing a clock by small amounts helped to open up the loophole as it forced the game into a state not tested by its original creators.

CyFi's discovery has since been verified by independent security researchers. The exploit has been found to work in versions of games for both Apple and Android gadgets. The hacker presented her findings at the DefCon hacker conference held in Las Vegas."

The Distance my eyes could reach…

POEM :  The Distance my eyes
     could reach

These distances call me away,
These Birds with them I want to play…
I feel as if I’m in a cage,
And my heart fills in rage…
Its hard in this world to live alone,
N I’ve seen every heart turning stone…
I dream a place where I’m alone but still in joy
And where I m free to fly…

Life is turning tougher day by day,
Far somewhere in darkness my heart does lay…
I want to get away to a place much bright,
I want to take myself n my dreams to height…
Here in this evening sky,
There are tears in my eyes , feel as if this life is a lie…

N when I open my eyes again,
I feels all vanished ,all pain…
Picking my self again , all those ashes n stich ,
I dream to Flee away,
To the distances my eyes could reach…

Simple Solution to a Complex Problem

There was this cosmetic manufacturing company is Japan which received a complaint from its distributors that 15% of the soap boxes were found empty when they are delivered. The directors were sure that there is no fault with the employees as everything is automated from manufacturing to packing. Therefore, after discussing with all the quality experts they thought of importing a high sensitive scanner and place it on the conveyor belt and raise an alarm for empty boxes. But, this would atleast take three weeks to arrive and installation and testing may again take a week. This will result in the production being stopped for a month which would incur a heavy loss to the company.
